Registrations for the 15th DCMM have started
From 17 to 21 August 2016 the DCMM visitors attention will be attracted by breathtaking works of the world’s best modders. Both female and male participants demonstrate their proficiency and compete for one of the desirable steps on the podium for the 15th time at this year’s gamescom in Cologne. The team registration for the 24h Livemodding Challenge is available from 14 April 2016 to 17 July 2016. Participants competing for one of the other categories however can register until 24 July 2016.This year, we are proud to form a partnership with MSI, one of the world leader in motherboard design. The online regional qualifiers will be hosted under MSI PRO MOD competition starting in May. The theme of this competition is “RGB” and contestants are free to interpret this however they want. Casemodding – hardware turns into artwork
Creative modifications turn customary hardware into true artworks. At DCMM young talents and experienced professionals get the chance to present their creations to the visitors of gamescom. The shown exhibits will be judged by a jury consisting of authorised experts in five different categories: CaseMod (Case Modification), CaseCon (Case Construction), CE-Mod (Consumer Electronics) and Cases on the Move (Mods containing autonomously moving features). On each of the first three days of gamescom the teams of the 24h Livemodding Challenge will have eight hours – making 24 hours in total – to create a casemod out of standard bulk goods, right in front of a curious audience, critically watched by the judges. For this year’s 15th anniversary the 24h Livemodding Challenge comes with an unique surprise for the spectators. Whilst the Championship takes place on the weekend, the visitors of gamescom have the opportunity to elect the most spectacular Creation as well as Germany’s prettiest Beauty Case from the presented exhibits.
